Michael Kessler's work has been widely exhibited in the United States and abroad, including at the Brooklyn Museum in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.  

Kessler is known for his colorful, geometric paintings in which figure and ground and object and space are contained within a constantly-shifting matrix . His art is a visual experience of color, texture, shape, and intensity which mirrors the artist's sense of the universe itself.

Michael Kessler lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
