Dave Hodges became interested in artwork at a very young age. His early artistic interests were in creating drawings, ceramics, and paintings. Hodges graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Montana State University, Bozeman, Montana in 1979. He began to participate in art shows and placing paintings in art galleries during the early 1970s. In 1982, he began his professional career as a bronze sculptor, and continues successfully in that field to this day. Throughout those 30 years, Dave has created sculptures in a wide array of subjects and sizes, ranging from miniatures to life-sized statues. His subjects of interest range widely from cowboys, horses and wildlife, to ballerinas and opera singers. Hodges has been commissioned to create sculptures for several large corporations as gifts to their international clients. Dave Hodges has written and published a book entitled Book of Bronze Creating Sculptures from Clay to Bronze.
