Jaune Quick-To-See Smith
Named by her Shoshoni grandmother, Juane Quick-to-see Smith studied art at Olympic College, Framingham State College, Bremerton, and the University of New Mexico. Smith describes her paintings as "nomad art" because of her vast source materials and range of media. In the 1980's, she became a foremost Native American artist. Her paintings reflect the struggle of her heritage and feminism.
