Melinda K. Hall lives in Tesuque, New Mexico with her husband, Gary, a Lhasa Apso pup named Emily and a cat called Nubie. She and her husband, both business graduates, developed several successful businesses in Dallas and throughout New Mexico. A long time interest in art became the impetus to attend graduate classes at New Mexico State University in Alamogordo in the eighties. Painting professionally since then, Hall captures ordinary objects and simple pleasures. Her multi-layered canvases are infused with humorous elements and playful images allowing the viewer to join in Hall's sophisticated, childlike exploration of life.
